Eat Pray Love
One of the best nonfiction books I’ve read in a very long time. I want to be friends with Elizabeth Gilbert. I think we would get along perfectly. She kicks ass. She made me want to take up meditation. I would, if I had time.
Martian Child aka My longtime love for John Cusack
My husband and I saw a sneak preview of Martian Child two nights ago. GREAT movie. It was so well-written, so beautifully shot, and most of all, the acting was phenomenal. I have always loved John Cusack. He’s been on my “freebie” list as long as I have had it, along with Trent Reznor. All the rest of the members of the list have come and gone. I think John Cusack is a thinking woman’s sex symbol. He is so intelligent and funny, but the best part is, everything he does has so much heart behind it. This movie was his best performace of his career. It was so heartfelt. He is a natural acting with kids. It made me fall in love with him all over again.
Of course, I think John is unbelievable sexy. Always have. But there is more to it than that. He has always come across to me as someone who is genuine, who loves his family and friends, has great taste in music and books and doesn’t bullshit. I love that about him. THAT is what has made me such a fan for so long.
