It’s over! And It’s just beginning.

I have a lot to say, so here goes.

1. HUGE congrats to Obama for FINALLY getting enough delegates to claim the nomination. It’s been a long, hard battle, but also an inspirational call for change and a hallmark of decency and honesty. I’ve been involved since before he formally announced his candidacy, and I will stay involved for as long as it takes.

2. I don’t think Hillary should be VP. Here’s why: She and Bill have too many shady dealing to fit in with Obama’s honest, forthright and open approach to this race. He would be opening the door to all of her closets and ya know what…I’m afraid of what’s in there. Furthermore, I think that she has treated him SOOO BADLY in this race, flinging everything she can at him. He survived and thrived because he REFUSED to reciprocate.

3. McCain’s speech last night was pathetic. The crowd was drowsy and mechanical. So was McCain. He kept droning, “that’s not change we can believe in” OVER AND OVER AND OVER. The speech was so awkward and bumbling and flat. Not only that, but it was a false attack on Obama. Calling him the “special interest” candidate was interesting. Huh?  Someone who has lobbyists on his election committee calling someone who has taken no money from Lobbyists or PAC’s a “special interest candidate?” Riiiiiiiiight. McCain came off as a stodgy, lying old man. Not good.

4. Obama’s speech was wonderful last night, especially when he pointed out that McCain gives him no credit for anything he has accomplished. It really irks me when people say Obama has no experience. Huh? He has been in the Illinois senate for years, and let’s not discount this MASSIVE network of people he has built from nothing. This was the most organized, energized, amazing grassroots effort that the country has ever seen. That is NOT a small feat, folks! This campaign has been a lifetime of experience in and of itself. Furthermore, you know who has “experience?” Cheney. Rumsfeld. Wolfowitz. Bolton. Rice. Libby. the list goes on and on and on.  The point is, old Washington “experience” is NOT what this country needs. It needs a fresh outlook, new ideas, someone with a strong moral compass, an open mind, an honest and decent character. THAT IS BARACK OBAMA. McCain is a nice guy, sure, but he will just be more of the same no matter how he says differently. He is old Washington. CHANGE. NOW.

Lastly….OH, I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE FIRST DEBATE BETWEEN OBAMA AND MCCAIN! IT’S GOING TO BE AS GOOD AS A NINE INCH NAILS SHOW FOR ME! MCCAIN IS GOING TO BE SPPPPPPAAAANNNNKKKKKEEEEDDDD. Ahh, wonderful. I’m so excited.

OK, I’m done. Whew!
